And it’s off!
Enticed
is done and has been sent off to the wide blue yonder! Whew! A short break then
it’s on to Call of the Wild, which should be a nice change of pace.
I’m
satisfied with the way Enticed turned out but happy it’s done; after all, I
started writing it more than a year ago. Writing it was a different experience
from writing Entangled. For one, it was my first sequel and I had to worry
about continuity. For another, I didn’t have that niggling doubt at the back of
my mind of whether I can write a
novel; that confidence helped, especially when I had to tweak the plot in
midstream — actually three-fourths of the way through.
I enjoyed
revisiting Lantis and company, and seeing what’s changed since Entangled. There
were a couple of developments that surprised me. I hadn’t expected them when I first
plotted Enticed — if you consider “villain breaks into heroine’s house and bad
things happen” to be plotting. Hopefully, I’ll get to visit them again. But for
now, there’s a hunky alpha werewolf demanding story time.
