A long way
It was a year ago, today, that my life changed.
LOL That sounds so pretentious, so full of portent. But still . . . it was a year ago that I got the first indication that I might actually have a future in writing, when Roberta of the Brown Literary Agency e-mailed me offering representation. Sure, my crit partner was enthusiastic about my writing — but she had to be, otherwise she wouldn’t critique my work, right? This offer meant someone believed I’d add to her income. Someone who counted NY Times bestselling authors among her clients.
So much has happened since then.
I’ve sold and written a second book and two novellas. Next month, Entangled, my first book and the one I gambled on by quitting my job, will finally go on sale. A year ago, I didn’t imagine this is where I’d be today.
Ack! All of a sudden, I have ABBA singing in my head! “I had a dree~eam . . .” This is getting mawkish.
Anyway, I’m off to visit relatives in Canada and the States, and do some sightseeing. Hopefully, I’ll see Entangled and Wild Nights in the bookstores while I’m there. That would be a rush!
